Job Details:
International Private Equity firm based in Orange County seeks a talented Senior Accountant to join their team.
Summary:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will perform the daily accounting duties to ensure that financial and operating reports are timely and accurately reflect the condition of the firm’s global operating companies
DUTIES:
- Responsible for month end close of globally consolidating operations
- Document financial variances from budget and/or prior periods
- Prepare management reporting packages
- Document and quantify differences between GAAP and Cash basis financials
- Complete ad hoc financial analysis assignments
- Review and approve journal entries prepared by staff accountants and accounting clerks
- Act as primary liaison on year-end audits
- Assist with budgets and forecasts
- Globally interface with other departments and offices to administer headquarter accounting policies
- Innovate solutions to fix inefficient processes and policies to strengthen internal controls
- Assist in other areas as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have attained senior accountant level, or equivalent, at a public accounting firm – Big Four and CPAs preferred
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Self-motivated and display initiative
