Job Details:
Internationally renowned entertainment production company located in Century City seeks a talented Manager of Production Finance to join their team.
DUTIES:
- This position is primarily responsible for managing domestic and international film and television projects from initial setup to final wrap.
- Candidate should have a strong accounting, production accounting, and finance background in order to review production structures and financial incentives, oversee project production accountants, ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures, ensure integrity of cost reporting process, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws.
- Position is responsible for the review and reporting of estimated final cost and cash flow estimates to Corporate Finance.
- Position works closely with Legal, Production, and Business Affairs as well as the Tax Department and outside consultants.
- Individual will oversee the activities of a production accounting supervisor and staff accountant whose duties include ensuring project accountant’s compliance with internal controls, GL reconciliations, production funding, corporate reporting, and overseeing guild and union audits.
- Be involved in department and special projects.
- Be involved in Department’s Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
- Contribute to and assist in updating Department processes and internal control policies and procedures.
- Be proactive in recognizing factors that may impact businesses operations, identify options and make recommendations.
- Work with other Departments to foster collaboration and further the business.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Seven years related business experience.
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA preferred.
- Strong accounting and finance business experience.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, critical thinking and communication skills.
- Production accounting experience.
